An international FinTech bank seeks a Supervisory Affairs Specialist (SAS).

The SAS will provide support to Supervisory Affairs Department within the Compliance Division. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, with demonstrated writing, communication, Excel and PowerPoint skills. The role will requires supporting the Supervisory Team’s interactions with regulators and requires a high degree of professionalism, experience and discretion.

Essential Functions

Major duties and responsibilities of the job

Provide paralegal, administrative and technical support to the Supervisory Affairs team and serve as a backup to the Supervisory Affairs Specialist:

  • Provide high-quality interface with supervisory regulators, including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Federal Reserve Board and the Bank of England.
  • Schedule internal and external meetings
  • Format, proofread and transmit documents and responses to the supervisory regulators in connection with meetings, continuous monitoring sessions, exams, reviews and ad hoc requests
  • Tracking regulatory and document requests, responses and filings
  • Assist with the Regulation HH ANPC filings
  • Assist with the Regulation Y filings
  • Assist with internal steering committees (agendas, minutes, PowerPoint presentations, etc.)
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint site
  • Assist with developing and producing metrics and reporting
  • Maintain complete and readily accessible electronic files on SharePoint
  • Maintain control framework for tracking tasks, documentation and regulatory submissions

Essential / Desired Qualifications

Experience, education and any certifications as necessary for successful job performance

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent
  • Paralegal or certified legal assistant preferred
  • Minimum of five years or more experience as a senior-level executive assistant in the financial services or law firm environment or similar experience

  • *Must be proficient in SharePoint
  • Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting needs
  • Handle matters expeditiously
  • Proactive follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
  • Ability to provide flexible support during key times of the year
  • Can evidence strong planning, organization and time management skills with the ability to effectively deal with multiple work strands simultaneously
  • High level of attention to detail
  • The ability to interact comfortably with, and tightly manage interactions with regulators
