Victory Capital has an immediate need for a Marketing Manager to support the Direct Member Channel associated with the planned acquisition of USAA Asset Management Company, which includes its mutual fund and ETF businesses and 529 college savings plan (expected to close in summer 2019).

The Marketing Manager for the Direct Member Channel will help advance three underlying objectives:

  1. Service: Earn Member trust
  2. Retention and Nurturing: Maintain and deepen existing Member relationships
  3. Acquisition: Increase awareness among Members, and within the military community, of the availability of the USAA mutual funds, ETFs and 529 college savings plan; drive demand and engagement

Responsibilities

  • Lead the firm’s direct-to-Member strategic marketing programs and campaigns
  • Partner with other channel marketing managers—including Retail, Institutional and Solutions—to leverage content marketing and tailor it for the Direct Member Channel across multiple mediums
  • Collaborate closely with products specialists within the investment franchises to identify and curate investment themes to highlight within the Direct Member Franchise
  • Amplify existing email campaigns and develop new thematic campaigns designed to: Increase new Member accunts, progressing Members from awareness to conversion
  • Retain and increase share of wallet among existing Member accounts
  • Measure, analyze and optimize marketing campaign data and prepare recommendations
  • Contribute to development and launch of new consumer-facing social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram, and expand Twitter following
  • Participate in the development of targeted paid media strategy, including print and online military publications, local radio and social media advertising
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influencers across the organization
  • Set data-driven metrics and report on progress toward marketing goals
  • Assist with quarterly production of materials to support the Direct channel and the USAA Mutual Funds

Qualifications and skills

  • Five-plus years of proven experience in asset management marketing; direct channel experience is a plus
  • Deep understanding of financial products and solutions, including mutual funds and ETF
  • Demonstrated track record creating and executing online marketing campaigns
  • Significant hands-on marketing experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent strategic and critical thinking skills, as well as a creative mind set
  • Experience managing and navigating mass email and paid media strategies
  • Ability to articulate new ideas and influence others to gain support
  • Self-starter and problem-solver who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment
