Your Role

We’re looking for someone like that who can:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Head of WMA Public Finance, Head of WMA Capital Markets, and their management team to provide financial advice and constructively challenge the business’s strategic objectives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Head of WMA Public Finance and Head of WMA Capital Markets on Finance matters
  • Communicate with, and explain financial concepts in a simplistic manner, influence key decision makers, and support the business in strategic decision making
  • Review monthly business area reports and provide insightful commentary to explain recent developments, including key trends, business drivers and provide recommendations to support business performance and decision making
  • Collaborate with the business to lead the development of the annual three-year strategic plan
  • In partnership with the business and Finance Metrics team, lead the development of financial and non-financial metrics to support the effective management of the business

Your team

You’ll be working in the WMA Finance Business Partnering team, which is part of the WMA CFO in Group Finance, and is within the Corporate Center division of UBS. The team is located in Weehawken, NJ and provides advice and constructive challenge to WMA on their activities, performance, and strategy to optimize the use of the financial resources. This role reports into the WMA Investment Product Solutions and Client Strategy Office Finance Business Partner, and will closely interact with the other WMA CFO teams in support of day to day deliverables.

Your experience and skills

You have:

  • An undergraduate degree in finance, economics or accounting qualifications, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 8-10 years’ experience in a finance, controlling or related function, with a strong understanding and interest in capital markets
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure things out)
  • The ability to think for yourself while still being a team player
  • A proven track record of delivering high quality and timely results
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with Think Cell experience a plus
