JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position provides a unique opportunity to work closely with the VP of Finance and provide her with bandwidth to address more strategic leadership responsibilities.  You will be responsible for providing business planning, development, support and resource allocation for the Finance team.  You will have the ability to apply and develop your experience in the areas of Finance Business Partnering, Finance Delivery Model, Finance Performance Management, Finance Process Improvement, Finance Strategy and Corporate Transactions.  As a Senior Manager, you will provide leadership for key projects and operating results within the Group and drive identification, design and implementation of creative business and financial solutions for Brother.  Senior Manager responsibilities include:  providing service excellence by identifying key business issues, determining needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for Brother internal clients.  You will implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships, as well as effective resource allocation, to ensure exceptional performance by the Team.

At Brother, you will be a trusted advisor to the VP of Finance and will act as the day to day conduit between the VP of Finance and key stakeholders by providing access, decision making and effective relationship building with departmental staff, other Finance functions and Brother Americas business or functional teams as needed.  The Senior Manager will gather, interpret and deliver the deep insights that shape strategic decision making, continue to build the Finance brand and build innovative opportunities across strategy, operations, analytics, performance management, talent and reporting.

You will provide day to day leadership for key operating results within the group.  This includes appropriate development, tracking and follow up for all key projects.  This position will help monitor and support the achievement of the teams overall goals, regular deliverables, compliance requirements, and special projects as they arise.  This position will represent the VP of Finance  interests in various meetings across Finance or Brother as appropriate.

Support the VP of Finance who is responsible for providing leadership for strategy, planning, execution and overall governance requirements for the Finance function.

* Plan and direct administrative, financial and operational activities for the Finance Team. Organize and prioritize critical issues and provide required information to the VP of Finance to facilitate efficient decision making.

* Work collaboratively with Finance Directors and other members of Finance to provide support, guidance, coordination, resource allocation and ensure that all objectives are met. Ensure that the Finance group is operating in accordance with its core principles of transparency, discipline and partnership and supporting the strategic objectives of the company.

* Ensure proper allocation of resources to various areas and projects within Finance and help develop staffing and technology recommendations.

* Direct and support project activities in Finance and drive results and Accountability.

* Assist with analyzing the operations of Finance to establish areas of process improvement and efficiency. Ensure that processes have proper controls and risk mitigation as well as written processes and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting

* 7 to 10 years strategic planning – Financial sector preferred

* Dynamic, thoughtful and organized individual who is self-motivated with ability to work and act independently.

* Proactive and takes initiative to identify problems and devise solutions.

* Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

* Good communicator and negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills.

* Strong since of judgment, discretion and tact

* Experience in accounting/finance sector.

* Result driven and exceptionally organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple complex tasks.

* Flexible work style with the ability to work under tight deadlines and with shifting priorities.

* Good experience in managing internal data and business strategies and high analytical skills.

* Proven track record in project and program management or implementation.

* Has served in a middle to upper management/leadership role.

* Dynamic leadership qualities.
