Leading provider of business processes and technology services to the Lloyd’s and London Insurance Markets is looking for a Risk Manager to work in their prestigious London offices. The main purpose of the role is to manage the risk agenda across UK Insurance. With a solid understanding of the insurance industry and the compliance regime in which it operates, you will provide expert advice to support the strategy and operations of the businesses within UK Insurance. You will be responsible for delivering the risk management framework, enabling the Risk Committees to meet their Terms of Reference. This role is a key role within the company’s lines of defence governance model through active support of the business units and effective monitoring of risk and controls within the Risk Management Framework. Where the business changes, this role is fundamental to ensuring that the integrity of the risk management framework is protected, risks and controls are updated / introduced and documentation is updated as part of the change. The required skills, experience and qualifications include: Sound understanding of the insurance industry; Previous experience of working within a robust operational control framework (understanding of FCA regulation would be an advantage) as well as the ability to devise and communicate improved ways of working. Ideal candidates would have a Professional Insurance or Risk Management Qualification; High standard of communication, both written and Understanding and utilisation of data and management information.
