What we need :

The Regional Advisory Business Consultant will be part of a front-line, highly-visible sales team that provides the highest quality service and support for financial advisors that are committed to the fee based advisory business model. The primary objective of the position is to drive growth of assets under management and net new assets on Cetera’s advisory platforms for the territory (VA, WV, MD, Washington DC, DE, PA).

The chosen candidate will have a successful track record of wholesaling fee based advisory services to Broker Dealer Registered Representatives and RIA’s. The candidate is expected to reside in one of the primary wealth centers within the territory, preferably the Philadelphia area. The candidate will have solid experience in the IBD/RIA industry working with fee-based platforms and products as a financial services sales professional. The candidate must be a highly motivated and accountable for new business development and wealth management consulting to all advisors with the goal of supporting the growth of their business, and serving as a key advocate for their needs by ensuring they receive the programs, services, and support they need to run a successful practice. This role requires a substantial travel schedule—approximately 75% of time—as the candidate will be a key client contact within the Cetera organization.
What you will do:

  • Aggressively execute a sales strategy to meet and exceed sales goals in a designated territory.
  • Utilize a methodical, structured and highly organized approach to manage the territory.
  • Be a valued resource to advisors transitioning to a fee based advisory model.
  • Attendance at Cetera national conferences and other industry conferences, and participation in scheduled activities and presentations intended to further Cetera’s overall business objectives. Solutions-oriented business partner to the advisors that understands broad business issues facing an advisor to properly run a practice, and the ability to evaluate and identify areas of opportunity to utilize and leverage the services of Cetera in order to produce greater levels of efficiency and effectiveness for advisors.
  • General knowledge of clearing, brokerage, custody, technology, research, equity-trading, mutual funds, and managed assets networks.
  • Establishing relationships with new or existing clients across a range of size and production levels Building strong relationships with key centers of influence within each broker dealer.
  • Driving advisor satisfaction, supporting the growth of their business and serving as an advocate for their needs from Cetera.


Qualifications
What you need to have: (Requirements)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in field sales for RIA’s and or IBD’s
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree
  • FINRA Series 7
  • Superior listening and client-profiling skills that enable the discernment of motivations, while arriving at a mutually beneficial outcome
  • Highly motivated, strategic, self-driven and results-oriented, yet capable of working in a collaborative manner across the organization
