The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Principal Developer, Innovation Center Silicon Valley, in Palo Alto, California to provide requirements analysis, application design and implementation. Provide application deployment services and support deployed applications. Provide user acceptance testing support, bug fixing, and application deployment support. Deliver insight and business expertise from enterprise and distributed global financial data. Deliver user experience to clients. Design and implement service delivery platforms to provide clients with a consistent and efficient way to access services and the ability to make our services available within their own platforms. Utilize Agile methodology and Open Source technologies, including Java, Apache, Tomcat, SQL and NoSQL databases, and AngularJS. Utilize web application frameworks, such as Spring Core, Spring Web Services. Provide integration with multiple back-end systems.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field equivalent, and three (3) years of experience providing application software development on behalf of a global financial services, IT Consultancy, or Computer Software firm. Prior experience must include providing user acceptance testing support, bug fixing, and application deployment support; utilizing software, including Java, C++; utilizing web application frameworks, such as, Spring Core and Spring Web Services; and providing requirements analysis, application design and implementation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in one of the above areas of study, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the above skills.
