To support Medtronic’s SEA Legal & Compliance team by:

  • Assisting in designing, implementing and strengthening Medtronic’s compliance program across SEA;
  • Providing pragmatic advice to support the SEA Business achieve its commercial objectives in compliance with Medtronic’s compliance procedures and policies, including its Compass (Code of Conduct) and Business Conduct Standards and all relevant laws.
  • The incumbent must partner and collaborate with Medtronic’s SEA businesses and functions and the APAC Legal & Compliance team.


  • Review, monitor and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company’s compliance program and design and recommend improvements to manage risk.
  • Contribute to anti-corruption compliance risk mitigation through continuous analysis of risk, handling specific issues and remediation measures
  • Support Medtronic’s businesses by handling compliance matters to the highest professional standards, supporting business objectives and managing risk in a pragmatic, timely and compliant manner.
  • Provide guidance to employees on Medtronic’s compliance policies and programs, including developing and running training programs.
  • Review and evaluate submissions via E-CATS, Medtronic’s compliance pre-approval process, for proposed interactions with healthcare professionals, medical institutions and other government officials to ensure compliance with Medtronic’s policies and procedures.
  • Participate in compliance related investigations, disciplinary action and mitigation.
  • Perform ad-hoc site reviews and post event audits of Medtronic related events.
  • Prepare reports and audit findings.
  • Assist in the Company’s distributor management program, including contracting, compliance reviews, monitoring and training.

  • Promote a zero tolerance control environment towards fraud and noncompliance
  • Mentoring and developing less experienced members of the Compliance team..
  • Assist development and maintenance of the SEA Legal & Compliance SharePoint site.

  • Fluent English (and any other SEA language) to ensure clear verbal and written communications, including in presenting recommendations and delivering training seminars;
  • Cultural familiarity and ability to operate well in South East Asia;
  • Able to influence, display empathy, be respectful, and navigate in a matrixed environment;
  • Promote and practice a culture of integrity, ethics and compliance with laws and policies.


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • IT skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).


Minimum 10 years’ legal and compliance experience, preferably in-house in the healthcare industry.
