Candidate will be a member of the Technology, Media and Telecom (“TMT”) group within the Leveraged Finance Group, which provides relationship coverage for small and mid-cap non-investment grade companies in the TMT industry. The TMT group is responsible for direct execution and structuring of syndicated loan transactions to support capital investment, acquisition financings, refinancings and capital structure optimization transactions. The TMT group is also responsible originating capital markets transactions and for cross selling banking and investment banking products to its clients.

Transaction execution

– Provide support in execution of leveraged finance transactions for corporate clients in the TMT sector

– Execute under the supervision of a Vice President / Associate all aspects of a financing, including financial modeling, due diligence process, credit analysis, credit approval process, and drafting of financing proposals

– Assist in the syndication process, including drafting of syndication materials for investors and ratings agencies and interacting with investors


– Develop and maintain marketing materials promoting Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking and TMT Leveraged Finance and support the development and delivery of pitches to corporate clients on specific transactions

Portfolio monitoring

– Assist in the monitoring of portfolio companies post-closing in cooperation with the middle-office department



– Bachelors degree from a four-year university

– 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience (in leveraged finance, investment banking or related fields)

– Experience with three-statement financial modeling, including detailed operating builds and capital structure scenarios

– Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts

– Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills

– Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

– Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

– Series 7/79 and Series 63 certifications and formal credit training a plus

– TMT industry experience a plus but not required
