Overview

This position provides leadership to the trade compliance team around the globe to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for import/export.  Leads, coaches and orchestrates to improve processes and supply chain efficiencies in cross border activities.

Job Functions:

  • Lead import/export teams around the globe and drive best practices.
  • Owner of corporate import/export processes and BU compliance
  • Lead team responsible for managing 3rd party services for import/export globally
  • Ensure DuPont compliance with Customs/Other Governement Agencies (OGA) security initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of world class import/export practices for translation to business improvement opportunities.
  • Be the champion for import/export activities globally – standardizing processes and driving days out of the suppy chains through improved documentation and cycle time.
  • Drive to 100% compliance with laws and regulations for import/export
  • Liaison between DuPont Trade Compliance Team and the businesses to ensure regulatory compliance and expedited cross border clearance.
  • Ensure all changes in regulatory issues, including security, are incorporated in to policies and procedures and communicated to busineses.
  • Ensure training is established and administered for all import/export activities.
  • Guide the development of Vendor and 3PL KPI’s associated with Supply Chain performance and conduct internal Business Reviews to report on financial and service level goals, along with initiatives.
  • Works closely with other senior levels outside of the company to benchmark best practices in Trade Compliance risk management.
  • Develop a global sustainable compliance process and ongoing interactions with global Supply Chain, Customer Service, Operations, PS&R, Legal and 3PL import and export service providers
  • Drive global processes to achieve trade compliance related savings from free trade agreements, duty drawback, duty exemption, and other duty programs

Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated competency in driving execution, global business acumen, building winning global teams, championing change, customer orientation and building competitive advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of import/export processes
  • Ability to insist upon use of corporate processes to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Understanding of technologies applicable to logistics/supply chain optimization
  • Strong knowledge/capability in logistics and supply chain (domestic and international)
  • Proven ability to deliver results
  • Good negotiation, influence and conflict resolution skills
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to plan, execute programs, and benchmark best practices to develop processes that support continuous improvement
  • Minimal travel is required.  Certified Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
