Overview

Global Regulatory Reporting (GRR) function covers regulatory reporting required for Bank, Bank offshore branches, broker-dealers, and futures clearers to various regulators across jurisdictions and senior Macquarie management. It aims to implement a consistent and efficient Organisational structure, Governance, Service Delivery, Processes, People Strategy and Technology ensuring compliance with finance control standards and facilitating commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Head of Regulatory Reporting with review of the Macquarie Group’s Regulatory Reporting service line within the region which includes the EMEA Regulated entities and US and Canadian broker-dealer and future clearing entities, as well as Group Australian Prudential regulatory reporting
  • Monitor regulatory capital levels to ensure that regulated entities are appropriately capitalized and have sufficient liquidity at all times
  • Responsible for technical support regarding regulatory treatment and impact on capital and liquidity levels for new products and transactions
  • Close interaction with Risk Management Group, Information Technology Group, and Group Treasury required to service Macquarie’s regulatory reporting requirements
  • Delegate incoming work to the team based on experience and task complexity
  • Lead and coach team members, particularly on aspects of financial control, regulatory compliance and attention to detail
  • Work within the larger regulatory reporting stream to support Macquarie’s regulatory reporting obligations globally
  • Advise on and prepare correspondence and responses to complex queries from clients, auditors, regulators and other service lines
  • Ensure timely delivery of work; provide regular updates to all stakeholders including clients
  • Proactively seek client feedback to further improve service level standards

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate / professional accounting qualification, preferably CPA
  • 12+ years of post-graduate experience
  • Experience in financial services and exposure to financial accounting and statutory reporting in a service industry environment (preferred)
  • Previous exposure to regulatory reporting for US regulated entities
  • Experience with statutory reporting, financial accounting and compliance
  • A strong adherence to timelines and attention to detail is mandatory
  • A willingness to travel overseas to build relationships with key stakeholders
