Overview

Belvedere Trading is looking for a team-player to help advance our electronic trading systems and usage. This individual will work intimately with each trading desk to better understand electronic trading issues, and will be responsible for generating ideas to manage and solve these issues while promoting education, electronic functionality, and best practices.  Electronic Trading Director will be responsible for tracking data, via electronic trading scorecards, and suggesting improvements for each trading desk. The electronic trading coach should hold weekly-to-monthly meetings to go through scorecard results while focusing on trader education and systems optimization.

Primary Accountabilities:

Algorithm Management:

  • Idea Generation/new functionality
  • Work with Product Team to liaison traders’ needs/requests
  • Work with Belvedere Trading University (Applications Program) to institute classroom learning focused on formula usage

Electronic Systems Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Improve desks’ electronic performance/P&L generation via ongoing feedback
  • Work with Business Oversight to investigate trades and general system behavior
  • Define requirements and acceptance criteria for improvements and innovation

Electronic Volume and Market Share:

  • Work with Business Oversight to track stats and improve results
  • Teach and encourage Traders
  • Leverage Belvedere Trading University to train traders in both Systems (functionality/limitations) and Electronic market behavior

Qualifications:

  • 5+ year of progressive electronic trading experience
  • Proven background working with development teams to implement features
  • Strong quantitative skills, entrepreneurial attitude, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to implement iterative improvements to trading systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly, quickly, and effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Exposure to programming languages, such as C++, C#, and Python is preferred
  • Confident team player motivated by a fast-paced environment
