This position will assist in the development and management of product, pricing and strategy-related initiatives that are in support of the Auto Finance business’ goals around client, volume and profitability. This position will own the full product & pricing strategy process from idea generation through implementation and measurement for all assigned products/initiatives.
Working with the Regional Sales and Credit Teams and Senior Management to develop and implement short and long term product and pricing strategies that create a sustainable competitive advantage
Leverage competitive intelligence data/analysis and market segmentation studies to produce new offerings or change existing products/capabilities
Responsible for profitability analyses that measures that internal targets are met
Responsible for business case development for all product strategy initiatives in support of business goals
Oversight of all product/program launches and coordination of cross-functional teamwork across internal departments, including but not limited to IT, marketing, sales, credit, finance, risk & compliance, legal, etc. to ensure the product strategy is cohesive and complementary to Chase Auto Finance and the group’s overall business objectives.
Understand the drivers of profitability of the different customer segments (Loan vs Lease, Subvened vs Standard) to ensure that current and proposed product strategies meet pre-determined financial hurdles.
Analyze results of all product, pricing and strategy initiatives to determine impact to business results
5+ years of Consumer Financial Services experience, Auto Finance experience a strong plus
Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree a plus.
Experience with business analysis (pro-forma and post-implementation) and modeling/simulation; business case development; and project management
Familiarity with Break-even, sensitivity/price elasticity, feasibility, variance and profitability/margin analyses
Proven track record of creating and driving strategy and analyzing new market opportunities.
Experience with the creation of customer insight research; competitive analysis; and using these as inputs to creating customer-centric products value propositions.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, lead and influence cross functional teams.
Strong analytical and influence management skills to analyze results, incorporating risk and marketplace insights, drive decisions quickly.
Strong presentation skills and ability to interact and influence effectively and sell ideas and business cases to senior management
Working knowledge of SAS and other modeling tools is critical
Excellent Computer Skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
