This is a new role within the growing compliance department who are committed to ensuring a positive approach to compliance throughout the business, as it enters a period of growth with new product and service lines.
The role is based in one of their London offices, in the West-End, and you will report to the compliance manager, whilst working collaboratively with the existing compliance officers within the team. The primary responsibility of the role is to cover the full range of regulatory duties including both FCA and PRA compliance, and will entail all aspects of compliance such as: front-office advisory support, carrying out the periodic monitoring programme, comprehensive assessment of the conduct risk framework, reviewing marketing material in accordance to external legislation, customer complaints investigation and additional duties.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have to be a strong, interpersonal character that has good people management skills, generalist compliance experience and has worked in a regulated financial services environment. You will need to have a good understanding of the FCA Handbook and relevant regulations (BCOBS, MCOBS, PERG, Data Protection, TCF etc.) and be very confident and influential, as the role will involve assisting with the communication of compliance-related matters across the entire Bank.
The role would suit an individual with retail banking experience, whether it is from a peer retail banking firm or equally from consultancy where you have demonstrated specific regulatory compliance experience with associated clients. It is a perfect opportunity for candidates to gain a broad exposure of all compliance-related duties, and someone with perhaps 1 – 3 years’ experience who is looking to grow their professional skillset and help play a key part in the development of the bank. Proven experience with stakeholder engagement and monitoring & advisory is key.

- Experience working in a regulated environment in a compliance generalist capacity
- Retail Banking experience is highly desirable (industry or consultancy)
