The Investment Operating Office works to advance the process, systems and efficiency of portfolio managers, researchers, and traders, while driving business strategy and analytics. Your deep understanding of investment organizations will enable a positive impact on our investment management business as you work to improve the capabilities of SSGA.
Specific responsibilities will include some or all of the following
You will collaborate with investment team leadership to design and execute business strategy
Develop and track performance metrics to assess business unit performance vs. targets
Analyze business profitability and cost drivers, support the budgeting process, and help establish financial goals
Measure performance of new business initiatives relative to expectations
Work directly with portfolio managers and traders to upgrade our investment capabilities and reduce operating risk
Redesign processes to utilize technology and personnel more efficiently
Collaborate with business unit leadership to develop effective management reporting
Education and Experience requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, and a minimum 5 years of experience in Investment Management.
CFA designation and/or a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
Special skills, knowledge or certification/licensure preferred for position:
You should have strong analytical skills and attention to detail is required
Deep understanding of investment process and systems
Experience collaborating with portfolio management, operations, compliance, risk, trading, finance and other internal groups as needed.
Proven ability to deconstruct processes
Working knowledge of investment management regulations and requirements
