PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Associate in Jefferies Technology Group, you will rapidly assume significant responsibilities including preparing and delivering client presentations; valuing companies using a variety of methodologies and leveraging skills in accounting, finance and economics; drafting deal documents such as presentations, CIMs and prospectuses; developing and maintaining financial models; analyzing business plans and performing company, industry, market and competitor research and due diligence; participating in drafting sessions; preparing and managing the delivery of internal deal memos; collecting and analyzing economic data on the sector, clients and their customers; and following and analyzing industry trends. Additional responsibilities include monitoring financial market trends and the markets’ impact on the technology sector. These responsibilities afford direct and active interaction with clients (CEOs, CFOs, etc.) where Associates are expected to attend and participate in client meetings and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships. You will work on several projects simultaneously with teams of professionals, both within the group and across the firm, including Managing Directors, Vice Presidents and Analysts, collaborating to develop and execute solutions to meet client needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience as an investment banking associate or senior analyst, or 3+ years of consulting, accounting or relevant technology industry experience
  • A critical thinker who can quickly evaluate and analyze companies and financial information
  • Live in or willing to relocate to San Francisco
