Overview

The Syndicated Finance (SFG) team is housed in the Commercial Bank and is responsible for working on complex financial situations involving syndicated and leveraged transactions for middle market clients. The SFG team works with clients to provide insights into debt capital markets for corporate capital requirements, including working capital, capital projects, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations. As the leading corporate debt house, JPMorgan holds commanding leadership positions in these product specialties. Transactions involve high-level interaction with senior bankers and executive management within client firms.

 

Associates within SFG gain critical skills in financial analysis, risk assessment, due diligence, and deal structuring. Associates function as fully integrated deal team members supporting senior originators. In addition, Associates will provide directions and oversight to analysts as well as running point on transaction executions.

 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
  • Preparing and driving detailed financial modeling and financial statement analysis
  • Determining cash flow and debt capacity based on a wide range of business models
  • Driving the preparation of capital markets packages and marketing materials
  • Running with transaction execution after mandate
  • Designing, preparing and participating in client presentations
  • Primary responsibility of reviewing all work prepared by analysts
  • Significant interaction with clients and investors
Qualifications

 

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and help develop innovative client solutions
  • Develop capability to run complex transactions with minimal oversight
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organized and able to efficiently manage projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to client senior management, investors and senior members of the firm
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in investment banking or commercial banking
  • Security licenses 7 or 79, and 63
