Duties: Associate with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Chicago, IL. Increase the sale of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) offshore products to onshore Financial Advisors who specialize in servicing end investors in the Latin American region with a focus on Brazil. Work with distribution partner home offices to secure placement for GSAM offshore investment vehicles to their financial advisors, including processing of dealer agreements and resolving operational workflow issues. Work internally with GSAM counterparts in Product Management, International Sales, Operations, Legal and Compliance to generate offshore product distribution opportunities. Conduct proactive telephone sales presentations to top tier advisors highlighting the GSAM Offshore products and value proposition. Partner with GSAM Regional Directors to drive sales and assets and build relationships with advisors through execution of a defined territory plan and sales process. Effectively profile advisors to understand their practice, clients and investment process to identify needs and to position Goldman Sachs Offshore products and services to meet those needs.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Business or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related financial services and sales position. Prior work experience must include two (2) years: Proficient in regulations applicable to the sale of offshore securities to international clients; Knowledge of trading and clearing platforms for offshore assets; Knowledge of local regulations and key distributors in Brazil and Latin American markets; Portuguese fluency required.
