The ETF Operations team is responsible for all aspects of support of the ETF business including the creation of the daily portfolio composition file, settlement of primary market ETF trades, resolution of any trade fails and the oversight of end of day file transmissions. The team communicates with portfolio managers, outside fund accountants, administrators and authorized parties on a regular basis.

As an ETF Operations Associate you will:

  • Communicate effectively with market participants, technology, portfolio management, internal service partners, Custody/Fund Accounting and administrator on a daily basis
  • Monitor and perform research inquiries regarding settlement of Primary market ETF order and trading activity
  • Perform and resolve complex inquiries and research within established department standards
  • Handle complex processing, servicing, or settlement of transaction/deals
  • Complete account bookings and processing and resolve transaction exceptions
  • Handle escalation for routine operational reconciliations
  • Support new business initiatives – Act as the operations subject matter expert for new fund launches and other initiatives
  • Be available on call and monitor as needed end of day/nightly file transmissions to funds and participants
  • Provide daily support to portfolio managers and other key stakeholders in the business
  • Drive changes to processes in order to improve efficiency and solution control gaps
  • Collaborate with technology, operations, and other internal teams to resolve urgent issues that could impact the funds


  • 5+ years prior experience in Financial Services Industry
  • Strong MS Word and Excel skills


  • Bachelors’ Degree – Accounting, Finance or Business Management


  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with industry systems a plus (Bloomberg, Eagle Star, TLM, etc.)
  • Interest in financial markets and products
  • ETF Product knowledge helpful – basic securities knowledge required
  • Adaptability to a fast paced, consistently changing environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and client service skills
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting ability
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks accurately and in a timely manner
