Our client a well known company is a global leader in investment management, risk management and advisory services for institutional and retail clients. At December 31, 2016, the company’s AUM was $5.1 trillion. The company helps clients around the world meet their goals and overcome challenges with a range of products that include separate accounts, mutual funds, iShares® (exchange-traded funds), and other pooled investment vehicles. The company also offers risk management, advisory and enterprise investment system services to a broad base of institutional investors through company Solutions®. As of December 31, 2016, the firm had approximately 13,000 employees in more than 30 countries and a major presence in global markets, including North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team leader with respect to all facets of financial and regulatory reporting oversight including:
  • Monitoring overall data collection status from various functional teams within and external to the company;
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements for private funds in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and/or International Financial Reporting Standards, as appropriate;
  • Working with the Funds’ external auditors to support the completion of annual audits;
  • Reviewing internal reporting policies for reasonableness and compliance with applicable regulations and accounting guidance;
  • Identifying ongoing technology development requirements to improve reporting efficiency and data integrity;
  • Implementation and coordination of high-level quality control reviews prior to filing submission;
  • Facilitating periodic filing submissions to the SEC/CFTC or other regulatory bodies as appropriate;
  • Organizing and participating in internal committee meetings;
  • Developing ongoing improvements to the reporting process to increase efficiency;
  • Monitoring, escalation and resolution of issues.

Experience and Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields (preferably with a focus on Alternative Investment Products):

  • Fund accounting/administration
  • Auditing
  • Financial reporting
  • Regulatory oversight

Big 4 experience and/or a CPA designation are preferred.  Experience with Private Equity Fund Reporting is a plus

  • Ability to deal with complex issues and help make tough decisions;
  • Experience with large-scale, high volume reporting deadlines;
